Hi James,

It has been a while since I've emailed you.

I hope all is well with your business ventures

(and political one too). I was curious about

the Kaanapali coffee plantation. Do you still

have connections there? Is anything being done

with those trees? Did they get a crop last fall?

I heard that Kauai coffee may be farming 50 acres

or so of the plantation, but it was stated

more as a hunch than as a fact. If you have the time,

I would be very interested to find out.

May the best come your way,

Ed Needham

Hi Ed, the progress report is that I have a lease

on 125 acres of the original 500 (There are development

plans in the works on the remaining land). I have

purchased the equipment to farm the coffee and the

processing plant. My major focus is to get the first

harvest this fall. It is now called MauiGrown Coffee Inc.

I have all four varieties included in the new farm which

includes about 35 acres of the Moka.

Always happy to hear from you and would appreciate your word

getting out relative to Maui coffee soon to be available again.

Aloha, Kimo Falconer
